A man dies after being shot in Saint-Lambert

A man in his twenties lost his life after being shot in Saint-Lambert, on the South Shore of Montreal, Thursday evening.

The victim was found around 7:30 p.m. in the outdoor parking area of ​​the Saint-Lambert station, located near the intersection of Rue Mercier and Avenue Mercille, according to the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL).

The man had serious injuries to his upper body, said the SPAL. The individual was transported to a hospital where, a few hours later, he was pronounced dead, police confirmed early Friday night.

The SPAL mentioned that the victim was known to the police.

No arrests had yet taken place late Thursday evening. The investigation was also continuing to determine the circumstances and motives surrounding this event.
