A man dies of “criminal causes” in Saint-Malachie, the SQ is investigating

    The Sûreté du Québec confirms the death of a man in Saint-Malachie, in Chaudière-Appalaches, in unclear circumstances. Three other men were injured.

    The tactical intervention group (GTI) of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) intervened early Monday morning on the Saint-Damien road, in Saint-Malachie.

    The police force gives very few details on the operation, but confirms the death of a man from criminal causes. The three injured men were transported to hospital, but their lives are not feared, according to the SQ.

    People known to the police are met by investigators of crimes against the person, accompanied by other units of the Sûreté du Québec.

    On the scene, the spokesperson for the SQ, Hélène Saint-Pierre, specifies that For the moment, people are being met by investigators, but there is no talk of arrests.
