A man miraculously escaped a burst of bullets on Friday afternoon in Laval. The victim of this attempted murder was identified as Ali Chaban, according to information collected by Radio-Canada from two sources who investigate organized crime.

The police consider Chaban to be close to Ahna Otna, who exercises a certain influence in the street gang scene of Greater Montreal.

The 35-year-old man had just entered his vehicle in the parking lot of a shopping center located at the intersection of the boulevards of l'Avenir and Saint-Martin Ouest, when a suspicious vehicle approached him and at least 10 shots were fired in his direction.

A perimeter was established around the crime scene, and the police are trying to determine the motive.

This new murder attempt comes after settling of scores that occurred in Greater Montreal in recent months. In this series of attacks, the murder of Gregory Woolley was the most publicized, given the influence he had had for a decade in the world of organized crime.< /p>
