A heavy truck hit a building apartment located on Galt Street West. According to initial findings made by the police, the driver of the semi-trailer did not make his obligatory stop.

A semi-trailer truck hit a apartment building on Galt Street West in Sherbrooke.

Before finishing his race in the building, the driver hit a car. The driver of the latter was transported to hospital. A resident says he was pulled out of bed when the impact occurred. We woke up to a loud boom and I looked out the window. I jumped when I saw that there was a truck in the building!

A resident of the building hit by a heavy truck.

Another resident, Nadia Curadeau, explains that the tenants were evacuated due to the risk of ;#x27;gasoline fumes. She too was awakened by the impact which occurred around 7:40 a.m. Thursday morning. The building was shaken [by the collision]. We thought it was an earthquake or an explosion.
