A person lost his life Saturday morning on Route 291 in Saint-Épiphane, in the MRC of Rivière-du-Loup.

The driver, a sixty-year-old, was alone in his vehicle when he lost control and hit a roadside tree shortly before 5 a.m. His death was noted at the scene.

According to the Sureté du Québec, this road exit could have been caused by discomfort. A coroner's inquest will take place.
