This poster circulating on Facebook has set things on fire. We see Walter White, the main character of the series Breaking Bad, lying on a hospital bed. The name of this supposed film is Heisenberg for a release scheduled for August 2024.
Worse, a detailed synopsis explains that this sulphurous character will manage to escape from prison in this feature film supposed to be the continuation of the legendary series. It would also be a rather uninspired story if we compare it to the quality of writing of the original.
It was not necessary more to generate great enthusiasm among all fans of this saga. But let's say it straight away, this visual and this scenario are nothing more than a fairly crude fake. No new projects Breaking Bad will not be released this year.
The idea of a Breaking sequel isn't that far-fetched
But with such popular fiction, you should never say never . After all, Breaking Bad has already had a sequel with the film El Camino and a excellent prequel series: Better Call Saul. Recently, Giancarlo Esposito has been calling out to producers about his character Gustavo Frings:
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000I think Ultimately, there should be a Gustavo Fring spin-off, and there could be. I have a lot of premises that I would like to push. If I were with him, I'd tell Vince Gilligan that we should do a series about Gus's rise.
He added during his appearance at the Emmy Awards ceremony: “Currently, he is on another series, but he should come back to see me in a few years, because the rise of Gus is interesting. Knowing its history and its relationship with the Chilean hierarchy is interesting. His family relationships too.”
Such an idea would not displease Dan McDermott, AMC's program director, either, who explained in 2022:
I can assure you that we are doing everything in our power to encourage Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould to continue this universe. I think you should ask them instead, but our door will always remain open to them. I look forward to the day when Vince or Peter or our friends at Sony call me and say, “Hey, I think we came up with a new idea for a series. in this universe.”
For now, Vince Gilligan has his work cut out for him, he who is working on an Apple TV+ series that will star Rhea Seehorn who plays Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul. What do you think of this idea of digging a little deeper into the universe of Breaking Bad ? Tell us in the comments.
