The 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations, initially scheduled to take place in summer 2023, is finally disputed at the beginning of the year 2024, after having been postponed due to climatic conditions in Côte d'Ivoire. The Elephants, close to elimination, are finally qualified for the final phase. Côte d'Ivoire won the championship CAN twice, in 1992 and 2015, and last organized it in 1984. If Senegal and Egypt are still in the race, Morocco seems to be the overwhelming favorite of this CAN, a year after its semi-final of World Cup.
