Indeed, in 2024, we will discover the fourth film dedicated to Gru, Agnès, Margo, Edith, Lucy and, obviously, the Minions. With the release of Despicable Me 3in 2017, it was time for our heroes to meet us again in cinemas.

In this fourth part, Gru's family grows. After having adopted Agnès, Margo and Edith then after having found love with Lucy, it is the logical continuation: Gru is the father of a toddler who is quite simply his spitting image. Even if he displays a lack of enthusiasm as soon as his father approaches…
In short, Gru has everything to aspire to a peaceful life. This was without counting on the unexpected return of a former enemy of the anti-hero. Maxime Le Mal intends to take revenge and he is accompanied by his girlfriend for this. Therefore, the whole little family must quickly change their environment so as not to be noticed. But Gru has trouble remaining quiet for very long and launches into a heist that is nothing at all. By taking his son on board, surely to strengthen family ties. On the program ? Humor, again and again.
During the Despicable Me saga, we were able to discover Gru's family. If he is now a father and this fourth film is the opportunity to introduce a new member of the family, Gru Junior is not the first parent of the anti-hero that we will meet. Indeed, in the third part, we were able to meet Dru, Gru's hidden twin brother, following the death of their father. A character that we will perhaps find in Despicable Me 4.
To enjoy the new adventures of Gru, we will have to wait until summer returns. Indeed, Despicable Me 4 will be released on July 3, 2024in dark rooms. It is certain that Universal Pictures will spoil us with trailers and other extracts to make the mayonnaise rise until then.
Good news: the voices that you loved in the first films of Despicable Me will be there for this new opus. Thus, Gad Elmaleh will still voice Gru while Audrey Lamy continues to lend her voice to Lucy. Regarding the new antagonists, we know that Will Ferrell and Sofía Vergara will be there in the original version. It remains to be seen which French actors will dub them here.
Between the films Despicable Me and the two opuses dedicated to Minions, the franchise is one of the most lucrative in the world animation. In total, the saga generated more than $3.7 billion at the worldwide box office. A feat to be highlighted. And let's not talk about banana yellow merchandise… With a fourth film, Despicable Me should consolidate its position as an extremely popular franchise. All we have to do now is wait and see if the fans will still go to the dark rooms in suits.
