The essentials

  • It's time for the semi-finals of the women's draw this Thursday, June 6 with the defending champion Iga Swiatek who faces the American Coco Gauff and the Italian Paolini who will play against & agrave; the young Russian Andreeva in a second surprise semi-final. Before that, we will follow the mixed doubles final with the Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin who is aiming for the title.
  • For the men, the two semi-finals will pit Alexander Zverev & Casper Ruud and especially Carlos Alcaraz à Jannik Sinner in a duel of titans.
  • Follow the progress of scores and results live.

11:30 – Coco Gauf face à the Swiatek assembly

World number three, Coco Gauff is perhaps one of the only players with be able to pose a problem à Iga Swiatek. However, the Pole displays "Nadalesque" &agrav; Roland-Garros: 28 victories for only two defeats. Enough to put pressure on the shoulders of the American, who has only beaten Swiatek once in 11 confrontations.

11:25 – Swiatek seems untouchable

In the women's competition, Iga Swiatek seems to be on another planet. Since her very close second round against Naomi Osaka, the Polish player has literally walked all over her opponents, and has not left a single only eight games in three matches: 6/4 6/2 against Bouzkova, 6/0 6/0 against Potapova and 6/0 6/2 against world number six Marketa Vondrousova.

11:15 – The last French victories in mixed doubles.

The last victory by a Frenchwoman in mixed doubles at Roland-Garros dates back to the 2007 edition, with Nathalie Dechy. To see a Frenchman win this event, we have to go back to the 2005 edition, with the victory of Fabrice Santoro with the Russian Daniela Hantuchova. In 2004, two Frenchmen had already won the Marcel Bernard Cup: Tatiana Golovin and Richard Gasquet.

11:03 – Doubles, a French specialty

If we expect a victory in singles à Roland-Garros for more than 40 years and the victory of Yannick Noah among the men and since 2000 and the coronation of Mary Pierce among the ladies, in doubles the French and the French are rather t successful: four titles for Kristina Mladenovic including two with Caroline Garcia for the ladies since 2016, and three titles for the men since 2014.
