Disappearance of Jessy Duchesneau  : a cell phone found

Jessy Duchesneau, 19, has been missing since Saturday.

The cell phone has was found in an underground parking lot located near rue du Pont.

According to the police, the phone was located not far from the intersection of du Pont and Prince-Édouard streets, not very far from where a command post had been erected on Wednesday.

Analyzes are underway to confirm that it is indeed Jessy's cell phone and to extract information relevant to the investigation.

Land searches to find the 19-year-old young man, who has been missing since November 4, were suspended Thursday morning. The Gaspésian disappeared during the night from Friday to Saturday, after leaving a nightclub on rue du Parvis.

Quebec police released two surveillance videos dating from the night of the disappearance, in which Jessy Duchesneau appears walking alone.

People close to Jessy Duchesneau leave messages to find him.

In the first, he is on rue Saint-Joseph Est, near rue Caron, around 3:10 a.m.; in the second, he wanders on rue Prince-Édouard, near rue du Pont, around 3:20 a.m. This location corresponds to the last place where Jessy Duchesneau was seen.

The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) requested assistance from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) helicopter today to fly over the Saint-Charles River sector and the #x27;mouth of the river.

This help could allow us to have an aerial perspective of the places where the police have already searched.
