The family of an Israeli-Canadian woman, missing since Hamas militants ambushed a music festival in southern Israel, announced that she had died.

Shir Georgy's aunt, Michal Bouganim, stresses that the family is in distraught and heartbroken.

 

Michal Bouganim announced that the family is preparing to hold Ms. Georgiy's funeral in Israel this evening.

She shared a video in beginning of the week where Ms. George is seen sitting on the ground and sheltering with other people.

Ms. George is the fourth Canadian person to die in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
