A City of Mississauga transit bus fell into a ditch Tuesday morning, injuring several people.

12 people, 10 of whom were bus passengers, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Toronto police say.

The accident took place near the intersection of Dixon Road and Highway 27, in the west end of Toronto. The bus was on Route 11 and traveling southbound on Highway 27. Police say the bus and a car collided.

Around thirty passengers were on board the bus at the time of the accident.
