New images of the Galaxy Z Fold 6: should we believe this design ?

© OnLeaks/Twitter/Smartprix/Samsung

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 should be offered with a new design, which is clearly reminiscent of that of the Samsung Galaxy S24. In any case, this is what new renderings published on the @OnLeaks Twitter account in partnership with the Smartprix website suggest, just today. We obviously recognize the long folding format of the smartphone, which fits perfectly with that of previous models. As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is still available in stores today for more than a thousand euros for a new model. All powered by no less than twelve gigabytes of RAM.

Few technical details are known about its successor. Some rumors, however, assume that the future Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be equipped with a triple rear photo sensor, like the iPhone 15 Pro or the iPhone 15 Pro Max, for example. Among these three lenses, it's a safe bet that the manufacturer has a telephoto lens for near or very far photos, a wide-angle and an ultra-wide-angle. Their respective definitions, however, remain to be confirmed, but it would not be surprising to see the significant milestone of fifty megapixels exceeded.

What technical sheet for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 ?

For comparison, we know that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is now available in three different internal storage capacities. The basic version only includes 256 GB of memory, compared to 512 GB or 1 TB for the most expensive ones. But versions up to 2 TB exist among the competition, so the manufacturer might want to keep up with the times.

According to other rumors corridor and about the design this time, the Korean would also like to make its Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. OnLeaks and Smartprix however mention 6.1 millimeters of thickness, which does not does not necessarily fit with other rumors shared further upstream by another informant. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 also measures 6.1 millimeters thick.

Still regarding the external appearance of the device, the renderings published by OnLeaks and Smartprix allow us to see the speaker vents installed at the top of the smartphone, close to a few vents probably dedicated to microphones. It's a matte black color that is presented to us here, but it would not be surprising to see the manufacturer also offer its Z Fold 6 in several additional shades. Note, for example, that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, again, can be obtained in: cream, dark blue, light blue, gray or black.

Reliability Score

Now let's answer the title question of this article: are these leaks reliable?

To find out, just look at the OnLeaks history in this area. However, it turns out that this source is particularly well advised, most of the time. You should also know that on the Smartprix side, the trend is also rather good. The site, for example, managed to predict the arrival of the Mini capsule on a Realme smartphone. This interface, which is undoubtedly reminiscent of that of the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro, allows notifications to be displayed at the top of the screen. ;#8217;screen, animated while turning away the front camera. Result: an almost full-screen display, saving space on the chassis.

Are you thinking of buying this future folding mobile from Samsung ? If so, what are the technical characteristics that tempt you the most ? Facing the device will be the Pixel Fold from Google, or the latest generation Motorola Razr (horizontal fold).

  • The Galaxy Z Fold 6 could feature a design similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S24
  • The device should be released during the summer
  • We do not yet know its official technical sheet, but three photo sensors are expected on the back
