Peugeot marks the return of mopeds with its new revisited 103 SP

The fashion is to restyling the past! After the return of Renault's R5 in a version that will tickle motorists' nostalgic nerves, Peugeot has decided to release its own iteration, but this time in the form of a two-wheeler.

Whoever says revival of an old machine says return in the form of electric machine! If for the moment the information is thin on this subject, the general director of Peugeot Motocycles has already announced 3 variants of the one which is called for the occasion the SPx.

The first will be a 50 cm3 equivalent whose basic principle will be comfort, the second will be an equivalent of 125 cm3, and the third a 125 cm3 sports type equivalent. The battery of the first will be located in the frame of the SPx, while the moped can also accommodate an additional battery between the handlebars and the saddle. This battery should be sold with the highest end version of the SPx.

There still remains a major unknown apart from the technical characteristics, which is of course the price, which one would not imagine not as accessible as in 70 when the 103 came out. Regarding its arrival, it will be very soon given that according to Peugeot Motocycles, the SPx will be marketed in 12 to 18 monthsin a form rather close to the concept presented here.
