Montreal billionaire Robert Miller, threatened with class action for sexual relations that ;#x27;he would have had with minors, could be questioned even before the procedure is possibly authorized, but only in writing, ruled the Superior Court.
Lawyer Jeff Orenstein, who is leading the request for authorization to bring the class action, had asked the Court permission to question Mr. Miller as soon as possible, because the octogenarian could die before the case is heard in civil court.
Judge Christian Immer partially granted this request last Friday. He authorizes Mr. Orenstein to ask questions in writing to Mr. Miller on specific topics related to the case, and Mr. Miller may also respond in writing.
< p class="StyledBodyHtmlParagraph-sc-48221190-4 hnvfyV">Judge Immer believes that an oral examination would risk endangering Mr. Miller's life due to the stress it could cause to the witness. #x27;businessman, who suffers from advanced Parkinson's disease and heart problems.
