Of course, buying an excellent mouse does not mean that you will become absolutely unbeatable overnight in Counter-Strike 2. But in any case, having a mouse that meets your expectations as well as your style is already a good start.

To do this, we must already define what parameters to take into account when choosing a gaming mouse, then we will then offer you a selection of mice tested by us, and which are the best of the moment.

What makes a great mouse that will suit your needs?

If there are so many different models of mice on the market, there is a reason! Indeed, the gaming mouse is a personal item, where many parameters must be taken into account in order to best suit the player concerned. Do you prefer FPS or MOBA players? Big or small hand? Rather a Claw grip, Palm Grip or rather Fingertip grip? Here are the elements to take into account in order to find the mouse that best suits your hand.

Handling habits, main criterion

Before even talking about budget, it is absolutely essential to identify what grip style you are most familiar with, and what is most comfortable for you. Obviously, the size of your hand will also influence the choice process. For this, it is necessary to makea reminder of the different grips.

The one commonly called Palm grip or “palm grip” if it must be translated this grip consists simply of resting the 8217;entire palm of the hand on the mouse. Probably the most common of all, the grip is more comfortable on a larger mouse. Next comes theClaw grip, or “claw-shaped grip”. It symbolizes a way of holding the mouse by resting the palm of the hand only lightly on the mouse, and placing only the tips of the fingers on the buttons. A medium-sized mouse will be more suited to this type of grip.

TheFingertip grip is the least common and most extreme form of grip. using a gaming mouse. It consists of only resting your fingertips on the mouse, which can cause significant fatigue in the hand and wrist over time. It will be necessary to favor a small mouse for this particular use. For information purposes, I tend to use the Claw grip, being an intermediate style between the Palm and the Fingertip, thus presenting good precision and suitable comfort.

Obviously, if you are an inveterate FPS or rather MMORPG player, you are absolutely not going to look for the same type of mouse. Indeed, while mice specialized for FPS generally do not have more than two side buttons, those dedicated to MMORPGs can have a dozen.

As for the question of wire or wireless- thread, the latest tests show that there is no longer any difference between wired systems and wireless technologies using the 2.4 GHz frequency (impossible, however, to rely on Bluetooth in a competitive context). Thus, wireless has the great advantage of not having an extra cable on your desk, but you will have to remember to recharge it from time to time however.

You will notice that when it comes to buttons, most current models are more FPS oriented, presenting the famous two side buttons that can easily be configured in-game.

Be careful not to be fooled by a price or a design that sounds gamer

Some little-known brands try to stand out with mice with ever more exaggerated designs to give a gaming feeling to their mouse. Some of these models riddled with RGB and lines as pronounced as those of a Lamborgini Egoista should be avoided like the plague. You will quickly observe that the best models are generally those with the simplest design.

If budget isn't a major issue when it comes to your choice of mouse, the Razer Deathadder is probably the mouse for you. Weighing barely 63 grams despite a large size which allowsa Palm grip with flawless comfort and ergonomics, it has all the technical features that make it an exceptional mouse. Whether through its sensor or its optical switches, the Razer mouse is built for competition. Wireless with a battery life of more than 90 hours, it recharges through its USB-C port.

Available in white, black or red Faker edition, we can only fault the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro, its price of 159.99 euros which is not within the reach of all budgets. Despite this, the Deathadder leverages a shape that has been around since 2006 now, and remains our favorite mouse in the rankings for comfortable everyday use, as well as an exceptional peripheral for competitive gaming. Small reminder which seems obvious given the shape of the Deathadder, but it is only intended for a right-handed audience.

We carried out the complete test of the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 here, and the mouse from the Swiss manufacturer amazed us. Not as good as the Deathadder V3 but not by much, it still represents a close to perfect alternative with a more compact form is lower than the latter. It will be less suitable for the Palm grip, butideal for the Claw and Fingertip grip. It will also be more suitable for ambidextrous use.

Also featuring the latest sensor technologies and hybrid switches offering a clearer click. Weighing 60 grams, it is also a weapon of choice when it comes to FPS. Rechargeable using its USB-C port, Logitech also offers an additional Powerplay wireless charging system which, in the form of a mouse pad, means you never have to take care of recharging it, and therefore never risk running out of power.

Be careful though, like Razer's Deathadder, its high price could also put off people on a tighter budget. This is unfortunately what you should expect in a ranking listing exceptional mice, the Logitech Superlight 2 is offered at a price of 169 euros.

The great sure value of the moment! If you had to buy a mouse without really asking any questions, it's Razer's Basilisk v3, which costs just less than 45 euros on AmazonRight now. A real bargain for a mouse from the Singaporean brand which has nothing left to prove. At this price, it is a wired mouse, but the cable is braided and therefore of excellent quality. It allows you to mainly use the Claw grip, and offers excellent ergonomics, as well as optical switches.

It is also the only mouse in our guide that offers RGB for amateurs. With its 101 grams, it is not completely perfect like the Deathadder for playing FPS, but it still holds its own. It even offers additional features such as two buttons under the wheel, but also 3 customizable buttons under the thumb. It's one of the only excellent mice to offer a third button, which is sometimes very useful in certain games, like Ovewatch and its multiple capabilities.

Obviously, it is the best value for money -current market price.
