A passerby found a body in a dumpster in Saint-Damien-de-Buckland, in Bellechasse.< /p>

The discovery was made near Route 279 in the municipality of Chaudière-Appalaches. The police were called to the scene around 5:30 p.m.

The body found is that of a woman, confirmed the Sûreté du Québec (SQ ). For the moment, the latter has not been identified. An investigation has been opened by the authorities.

At this stage, all hypotheses are being considered, mentioned the spokesperson for the SQ, Béatrice Dorsainville, during a telephone interview.

A perimeter was established around the scene on Sunday evening. An investigator was also dispatched to the scene to carry out analyses.
