The Saint Jacques Tower in Paris, starting point towards Compostela

According to legend, the Tour Saint Jacques, located at the corner of rue de Rivoli and boulevard de Sébastopol & Paris, would have beené a departure point for pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. In the Middle Ages, it was the church of the butchers' corporation. At the bottom of this building stands a statue of Blaise Pascal. There would have been carried out scientific experiments on gravity and atmospheric pressure.
