The electrification of transport is underway, and with it, the need for efficient and reliable charging systems. In 2023, more than 390,000 drivers shared (between April 20 and December 31) their opinions on Chargemap, allowing the application to draw up a portrait of the best charging networks for electric cars in Europe .

Overall, in Europe, the leading pack is not entirely a surprise. The Tesla Superchargers network is closely followed by the Dutch company Fastned. However, we find the French Electra in third place – these three networks are distinguished by the overall charging experience in Europe, which means, among other criteria, the presence of reliable infrastructure and great ease of use.

Tesla, Fastned and Electra dominate most of the rankings (but there are a few surprises)

Here is the overall ranking of the operators of charging stations in Europe:

  1. Tesla Superchargers
  2. Fastned
  3. Electra
  4. Carrefour
  5. Chargy
  6. Allego
  7. < li>Ionity

  8. e-Vadea
  9. NW IECharge
  10. EVZen

As for the best quality/price ratio, France is still in the spotlight, with notably the Orléans Métropole network (31 charging sites) in first place. But also the NW IECharge network, located mainly in rural areas, followed by the Lidl network.

  1. Orléans Métropole
  2. NW IECharge
  3. Lidl
  4. Tesla Superchargers
  5. Chargy
  6. SIEML
  7. Electra
  8. Driveco
  9. Alize (Bouygues Energies et Services)
  10. EVzen

On the reliability side, Chargemap evaluates the ease of use, the delivered power/expected power ratio, and other criteria such as the condition of the terminal and cables. In this category, FastNed stands out, followed by the Tesla network and that of the French Electra. Carrefour and Allego close the top 5:

  1. Fastned
  2. Tesla Superchargers
  3. Electra
  4. Carrefour
  5. Allego
  6. Chargy
  7. IONITY
  8. e-Vadea
  9. larecharge
  10. SDEM50

< p>Limiting ourselves to France, the ranking of the best chargers is not a revolution. In terms of overall experience, Fastned leads the top 5, even with, according to Chargemap, a more significant lead over Tesla. Last Mile Solutions is also popular with Chargemap users – a new entrant in the application rankings:

  1. Fastned
  2. Tesla Superchargers
  3. Electra
  4. Carrefour
  5. Allego
  6. IONITY
  7. e-Vadea
  8. NW IECHarge
  9. Last Mile Solutions
  10. EVZen

For the quality/price ratio, again, little d&amp ;#8217;difference with overall rankings for Europe. Orléans Metropole, NW IECharge and Lidl dominate the Top 5, followed by Tesla and SIEML:

  1. Orléans Métropole
  2. NW IECharge
  3. Lidl
  4. Tesla Superchargers
  5. SIEML
  6. Electra
  7. Driveco
  8. Alize (Bouygues Energies et Services)
  9. EVzen
  10. Freshmile< /li>
