The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are carrying out a series of arrests of suspected vehicle thieves, most of whom reside in Montreal.

According to our information, the suspects targeted by the PPO are suspected of belonging to an automobile theft network. Most are suspected thieves.

Arrests are to take place over three days. Around fifteen arrests are planned for Tuesday and the PPO should have around sixty arrests at the end of the operation.

An OPP detention vehicle is in the parking lot of the SPVM Eastern Operational Center, intended to transport the suspects to Ontario, where they will be charged.

Several of them will head to the Cornwall courthouse for a first appearance. They will then be transferred to the Ontario jurisdiction in which they committed their misdeed.
