If Apple rested on its laurels with the iPhone 14, the iPhone 15 marks a clear evolution. Enough to justify a purchase for owners of iPhone 12 or earlier models.
The iPhone 15 recovers most of the strengths of the iPhone 14 Pro. Powered by the A16 chip, it mainly integrates Dynamic Island in place of the notch. Like the rest of the range, it also accommodates a USB-C port, Europe having required this port on all consumer electronic devices.
The other major advance is at the photographic level. The iPhone 15 features a 48 MP main sensor , the same one that fitted the iPhone 14 Pro last year. It is accompanied by a second lens, with an ultra-wide-angle lens capable of capturing macro photos.
For the first time at Apple, the iPhone 15 costs less than its predecessor. It is priced at 969 euros, or 50 euros less than the iPhone 14 when it was released. It is therefore, in our opinion, the most mainstream model available this year.

We will not focus on the iPhone 15 Plus which shares the same technical sheet as the iPhone 15 with the exception of its larger screen. With 6.7'' diagonal, it will be more suitable for fans of multimedia, gaming or, more simply, large screens.
However, you will have to agree to handle a smartphone with larger dimensions. Forget, for example, using one hand, especially if nature has given you small fingers.
Also note that the iPhone 15 Plus should be among the most durable iPhones this year, as was its predecessor. If autonomy is a criterion of choice for you, then this model is made for you.
However, plan for a larger budget since it is offered from 1 119 euros. Here again, Apple has lowered the price by 50 euros compared to its predecessor.

We sometimes tend to forget it but iPhone Pros are designed to meet specific needs linked to a professional activity. This is why Apple always integrates its latest innovations into this range.
This year, the iPhone 15 Pro changes little compared to its predecessor but enough to justify a replacement for owners of iPhone 12 Pro (and earlier). More powerful thanks to its new A17 Pro chip, it is made of titanium, a material making it both more robust and lighter (10 g).
Beyond this aesthetic change, the iPhone 15 Pro has a trio of more advanced photo sensors than those of the iPhone 15 and is especially distinguished by its 3x telephoto lens.
More powerful, better in photos, dressed in a new material, it is logically a more expensive smartphone. Count 1 229 euros for the 128 GB version. Here again, good news: Apple has lowered the price by 100 euros compared to the iPhone 14 Pro upon release.

Last year, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shared the same spec sheet, size aside. In 2023, Apple once again makes its iPhone 15 Pro Max the most advanced model.
If its characteristics are essentially the same as the 15 Pro (except for the battery and screen size, like every year) the 15 Pro Max is distinguished above all by its photographic equipment.
Indeed, instead of the 3x telephoto lens, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 5x telephoto lens allowing you to capture photos more detailed remotely. Add to this the new photographic functions common to the iPhone 15 Pro such as continuous zoom in video.
Since it is the best equipped, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is logically the most expensive: it is offered at the same price as its predecessor, i.e. 1 479 euros. For this price, we have a model with 256 GB of storage compared to 128 GB last year. This therefore amounts to a reduction of 100 euros. We won't complain.
