If Apple specializes in high-end smartphones, it also regularly releases more affordable models, under the “SE” range. The latest iPhone SE was released in 2022 and currently rumors are circulating about its successor, the release date of which is not yet known. But in the meantime, YouTube channel 4RMD has made a video that shows us what Apple's next affordable model could look like.
“I'm not affiliated to Apple Inc. This video is a concept created with the aim of visualizing what the new iPhone SE could look like”, indicates the channel. It seems that it developed the rendering based on rumors already circulating about the next iPhone SE.

In an article published this November, the MacRumours site summarizes the various unofficial information that has circulated about the next iPhone SE. And according to the site, Apple should finally abandon the design of the iPhone 8, in favor of a more modern design. Thus, the next iPhone SE should have an appearance close to that of the iPhone 14. We would finally have a “borderless” front and without a home button. The fingerprint scanner would thus be replaced by a Face ID module which would be placed on a notch, with the front camera.
Otherwise, Apple could finally abandon the LCD screen in favor of technology OLED, and enlarge the size of the iPhone SE compared to previous models. So, we could expect the next iPhone SE to have a 6.1-inch screen, like the iPhone 14.
On the other hand, if the next iPhone SE should only have one camera on the back. But the good news is that the Cupertino company could equip its affordable smartphone with a single 48 megapixel sensor, instead of 12 megapixels. Finally, regarding charging, this model should have a USB-C port instead of Lightning, to comply with EU rules.
An anti-Android product?
Unfortunately, those waiting for the iPhone SE 2022 successor will have to have a lot of patience. Indeed, it is rumored that the next model would not be released until 2025. And of course, for the moment, all this information should still be considered with caution, since it does not come from an official source.
In any case, although the iPhone SE is not one of Apple's flagship products, this range remains important, to the extent that it can help Apple attract Android users. Indeed, despite their relatively affordable prices, the iPhone SEs use high-end processors, which guarantee excellent performance.
