Woman dies after being hit by snowplow

A pedestrian 75-year-old succumbed to her injuries after being hit by a snowplow this morning in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

A 75-year-old pedestrian died from her injuries after being hit by a snowplow Tuesday morning in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

Police officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) went to Arthur Street, near on Hurteau Street, around 10:45 a.m. after a snow removal truck struck a woman.

According to the first information obtained, the collision occurred in a shared residence parking lot, said Jeanne Drouin, spokesperson for the SPVM.

The victim was transported to a hospital while she was conscious. She had serious injuries to her lower body.

Unfortunately, we learned of her death in the evening, confirmed Raphaël Bergeron, SPVM spokesperson, Tuesday evening.
