A footbridge collapsed at the Mont-Saint-Anne Convention Center on Saturday evening, injuring a dozen people gathered as part of the Mountain Bike World Cup.

A footbridge collapsed at the Mont-Saint-Anne Convention Center on Saturday evening, injuring a dozen people gathered as part of the World Cup mountain biking.

The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m., during the festive evening organized as part of the competition.

A footbridge leading to the event room gave way, leading to a partial breakage of the structure, indicated in a press release Camille Asselin, the spokesperson for Mouvement Production, the company responsible for organizing the event.
