The armed attack allegedly occurred in an apartment in the Saint-Michel district of Montreal. Around 10:40 p.m., a call was made to 9-1-1 for a man who was allegedly stabbed inside an apartment located on Charland Avenue, near Iberville Street. Upon arriving on scene, officers located a 55-year-old man who had been stabbed at least once in the upper body. He was transported to a hospital center where his condition is considered critical, indicated Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM). It would be a conflict which degenerated inside the apartment which led to the armed attack. During the altercation, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim at least once with a bladed weapon in the upper body, said Officer Brabant. After gathering information from witnesses to the event, a 51-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He will be questioned by investigators over the next few hours. Avenue Charland has been reopened and the investigation continues.< /p>
