If there is one subject on which Disney parks have always been ahead, it is the use of robots in the world of entertainment. Being in the midst of transformation of the parks with an announcement of 60 billion dollars of investment, the Walt Disney Company is working hard to offer ever more immersive and enchanting experiences to its guests.

In this way, we can only remain stunned by the new video presenting the the new Audio-animatronics from the universe of The Princess and the Frog.

An Audio-animatronics, what is it??

You may have already heard of Imagineer, a name made in Disney which brings together hundreds of professions closely or closely related to each other. by far to engineering.

These “engineers of the imagination” were quickly commissioned on a very specific subject by Walt Disney himself. Being a great fan of mechanical toys, Walt wanted one of his personal heroes to be reproduced with Abraham Lincoln's robot which was initially present at the New York International Fair before joining the Disneyland park. Initially rather basic, Audio-animatronics now make it possible to offer ever more flexible, rapid and realistic movements, in order to give the illusion of a real presence in attractions.

If their presence is massive in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland Paris, we have not yet had the chance to see how much technology has evolved in recent years in the historic park.

An evolution in the Studios

It is in the Walt Disney Studios that you must go to see that Audio-Animatronics technology is experiencing a real revival. First of all, starting with that of Iron Man present in the queue for the Avengers Assemble: Flight Force attraction. Then, it is still in the Avengers Campus that it is possible to see a robot with the new name the Stuntronic, a robot designed specifically for do stunts.

In the form of Spider-Man, the transition between a real human being and the robot has been designed to be undetectable, and the effect is absolutely stunning as you can tell. see it on video. Disneyland still having an image of environments where princesses are omnipresent, we can still expect to see advanced Animatronics concerning them, which is not yet the case on the Parisian resort.

While Elsa and Belle's robots are already making visitors in Asia dream, we will have to wait for the upcoming opening of the Frozen land in the Walt Disney Studios in order to be able to see the developments of these Animatronics in France.

Next with The Princess and the Frog

After numerous controversies concerning the Splash Mountain attraction based in Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, as well as at the Magic Kingdom at Disney World in Florida, the attraction is undergoing a total re-theming. It will thus transform into “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure”, which will have the principle of telling the rest of Tiana's story where the film The Princess and the Frog ends.

In a new presentation video, Disney shows the Audio-animatronics of Tiana, Mama Odie, Naveen's brother as well as Louis. The least we can say is that technology is still experiencing major advances, and that immersion will be even more enhanced.
