American actor Alec Baldwin has been charged with manslaughter again, after a fatal shooting on the set of the film Rust in 2021.
The charges against him were formally dropped in April, in this affair with multiple twists and turns, but the prosecution had warned at the time that the actor was not yet exonerated and remained likely to be implicated again .
In its press release to announce this new twist, the prosecution does not explain what led the courts to bring the 65-year-old actor back to the center of the case.
On October 21, 2021, the filming of the western Rust, au New Mexico (southwest of the United States), had turned into drama when Mr. Baldwin pointed a weapon supposed to contain only blank bullets, but a very real projectile had killed the director of photography Halyna Hutchins and hurt director Joel Souza.
The actor has maintained his innocence from the start. He has always maintained that he was assured that his weapon was harmless and also denies pulling the trigger.

According to American media, he faces 18 months in prison if convicted.

During the initial investigation, the police concluded that it was she who had put the ammunition in the ;#x27;weapon used by Mr. Baldwin, instead of a dummy bullet.
