Google, Netflix, Apple: the crazy salaries of big Tech bosses

Sundar Pichai © Google

Are you paid correctly?? We hope the answer is yes, but probably not as well as the big American tech bosses whose salaries are reaching record levels.

Colossal revenues

Android Authority viewed the SEC documents, the American stock market policeman, to establish a top 11 of the CEOs of these large companies who are the most paid (in annual salary). Here it is in full:

  1. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet: $225.9 million< /li>
  2. Barry McCarthy, CEO of Peloton: $168 million
  3. George Kurtz, CEO of CrowdStrike  : $147.7 million
  4. Oracle CEO Safra Catz: $147.7 million
  5. Douglas Ingram, CEO of Sarepta Therapeutics: $124.9 million
  6. Tim Cook, CEO of Apple& nbsp;: $99.4 million
  7. Hock E. Tan, CEO of Broadcom: $60.6 million
  8. Mark Anderson, CEO of Alteryx: 57.2 million dollars
  9. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella: $54.9 million
  10. Reed Hastings, co-CEO of Netflix: $51.07 million
  11. Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix: $50.3 million

As for Sundar Pichai, the figures are a bit dizzying, because it would take an average American 4,200 years to earn the same amount based on a salary of $53,500 per year. Referring to Alphabet employees, they must put themselves through eight centuries of hard work to achieve this. These sums are all the more difficult given that Google's parent company has recently carried out massive layoffs, even though it continues to make healthy profits.

Note that these revenues remain quite fluctuating from one year to the next and that they are often correlated with the company's share price. While the shares of large companies in the Tech sector have increased significantly in recent years, it's a jackpot for their CEOs.

Play with Elon's fortune Musk

But these remunerations, as important as they are, still remain very far from the fortunes of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, or Mark Zuckerberg. The difference is that they own a large share of successful companies like Tesla, Amazon, and Facebook. They are therefore at the head of very impressive assets approaching 200 billion dollars depending on the level of action.

And because it is sometimes difficult for ordinary people to visualize what such amounts mean, smart people have created a simulator that allows you to virtually spend Elon Musk's fortune. You can find our article on this subject here.
