Has Meta just rolled out an “adult mode” on its Quest headsets ?

A few weeks ago, Apple launched its long-awaited Vision Pro headset. Quickly, many buyers were horrified to discover that their expensive new headset did not allow them to enjoy… content reserved for adults! On the Meta side, we are obviously monitoring the adventures of the Apple headset very closely. and we are currently deploying an update which adds a very specific mode of use to Quest headsets.

A new mode “lying” for Meta Quest headsets?

Shortly after the release of the Vision Pro headset, the father of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, wanted to express how much the Meta Quest headsets were superior to the latest from Apple. Its Meta Quest 3 at “only” 699.99 euros thus displayed many qualities, in addition to a much more attractive price for ordinary mortals.

As for users of Vision Pro headsets, some were shocked to learn that the Cupertino company had not thought of fans of 3D pornography. Obviously, if it is entirely possible to join your favorite adult platform from the Safari browser, there is no question of enjoying any immersive experience, as many had already imagined.

Also, at Meta, we have obviously decided to occupy this niche… without really stating it. Indeed, the latest update for Meta Quest headsets notably includes a brand new “lying mode“. The latter aims to facilitate the use of the Meta Quest headset when lying on your back.

At Meta, we explain: “Rjoin David Attenborough on a trip to the Galapagos Islands, attend a concert in Meta Horizon Worlds Music Valley, play some cubism, meditate with TRIPP, and more, all from the comfort of your favorite bed, chair, or couch.

Obviously, this new feature also allows people with disabilities to make the Meta Quest experience much more comfortable, a significant step forward in terms of accessibility for the Meta group.

Still, for some, this new “lying mode” is also aimed at anyone who wants to immerse themselves in their favorite adult content. This would also be symbolized by the expression “and many other things&#8221 ; used by Meta in its official communication.
