Karim Benzema close to Fr&egrave

The day after the accusations of the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, the footballer reacted through the voice of his lawyer, refuting formally the words of the tenant of Beauvau.

It’s a phrase that hasn’t gone unnoticed. Tuesday October 17, while he was on the set of Pascal Praud's L'Heure des Pros on CNews, the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, quite simply accused Karim Benzema to be "linked with the Muslim Brotherhood". So questioned on the Islamist organization, the tenant of Beauvau precisely declared that “for several weeks, [he is] particularly interested… Mr. Benzema is in connection, as we all know, notorious with the Muslim Brotherhood. And to add: "We are tackling a hydra that are the Muslim Brotherhood because they give an atmospheric jihadism as Gilles Kepel said."

An accusation that did not fail to make sense. to reach the ears of the main interested party, who reacted through his lawyer, Me Hugues Vigier, this Wednesday, October 18, firmly refuting the words of Gé rald Darmanin, as relayed by Le Parisien. Speaking to the capital's daily newspaper, the footballer's advisor initially declared that "Karim Benzema never had the slightest relationship with this organization". And to point out: "[The footballer] has also chosen to live in Arabia which has decreed said terrorist organization, which France has never done."

In any case, Karim Benzema has indicated that he now plans to carry complaint against Gérald Darmanin. "We are thinking about what we want to do. prosecutions against this minister in application, for example, of the law on the manipulation of expensive information. our government… and defamation or even public insult,” said Me Hugues Vigier at Le Parisien, who judged "not acceptable for those who govern to believe they are authorized to all out of pure opportunism.
