Minecraft is currently celebrating its fifteenth anniversary. The opportunity was therefore perfect for Netflix and Mojang studios to formalize their animated series dedicated to the famous video game. Things are also well advanced since we learn in passing that its development has already begun.
A great initiative

At first glance, one might be surprised to see the launch of such a project, but there are good reasons to be hopeful. First of all, we can recall that a franchise such as Lego has given rise to high-flying film adaptations. Everything therefore depends on the writing and inspiration of the authors and artists involved in these projects.
We also imagine that Netflix will be able to put the resources into it. The streaming platform has already proven to us in the past that it knows how to release quality animated series. We can notably cite his old creations such as BoJack Horseman, Blue Eye Samurai, Big Mouth.
But let's not forget too to mention Castlevania, Arcane, or Cyberpunk: Edgerunners which was such a great success that its success revived interest in the CD Projekt game which was then in a bad position. For the rest, we do not have additional information on this Netflix series and we will therefore have to be patient before the service communicates further.
A film Minecraft is also in the works
In any case, Minecraft definitely whets the appetite, since we already know that a live-action film will be released in theaters on April 2, 2025. Directed by Jared Hess, it will feature some big names including ;nbsp;: Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Coolidge, or even Kate McKinnon and Jemaine Clement.
Here again, Warner Bros has not yet communicated much about this project, but we nevertheless know its synopsis:
The malevolent Ender Dragon sets out on a path of destruction, driving a young girl and her band of unlikely adventurers to set out to rescue the Overworld .
