Murder in Vanier: a 2nd suspect arrested

Quebec police arrested , Monday afternoon, a 37-year-old man in connection with the murder of Alain Charbonneau.

The suspect was questioned by the police, he should appear today at the Quebec courthouse.

The victim, aged 50, was found lifeless on October 23 in an apartment located on the corner of the building. avenue Proulx and avenue Beaucage. A 59-year-old man was also injured during the attack, but his injuries were minor.

Elliot Kamoun, a 27-year-old man, was charged last week with the second degree murder of Alain Charbonneau. He will return to court on November 14 for further proceedings.

These arrests were carried out in collaboration with investigators from the MALSAIN project, an initiative of the Quebec City Police Department which aims to counter drug trafficking by organized crime.
