GTA 6 is undoubtedly the most anticipated video game in history. Its first trailer, broadcast on December 5, 2023, literally broke three world records and now peaks at almost 200 million views. This evening, during its traditional quarterly review with investors, the publisher of GTA confirmed a first release window for the next game from Rockstar Games.

When releasing the first trailer in December 2023, Rockstar Games remained cautious with a simple “2025” for the release date of GTA 6. The American publisher gave us an appointment on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S next year to discover the story of Lucia and the potential Jason in the region of Léonida with the mythical town of Vice City.

This evening, Take Two Interactive offers us a more precise release window and confirms that the game is now expected for fall 2025, i.e. between late September and mid-December 2025. This is in its official report that Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick made his statement:

“ Our outlook reflects a narrowing Rockstar Games' previously established window of calendar year 2025 to fall of calendar year 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI.

We will therefore have to wait more than a year and a half before being able to get our hands on the next opus of the Grand Theft Auto saga, 12 years after the release of GTA 5. Concerning the latter, it has just crossed the symbolic bar of 200 million games sold. Crazy stats that could be beaten by GTA 6.

From now on, communication is in the hands of Rockstar Games. Take Two has confirmed that they will not reveal any further information and that it is up to Rockstar to decide when they will communicate and release the next new information, the first images and the second trailer.

As a reminder, Jennifer Kolbe, the vice-president of Rockstar Games, announced on February 29 that the final phase of development of GTA 6 was to begin on April 15. More than ever, we have just entered the home stretch.
