Let's start with some good news: Planet of the Apes: The New Kingdom is not a reboot or remake of films from the franchise we already know. The saga continues with this new opus, more than six years after the release of Planet of the Apes: Supremacy.
We are therefore more than 300 years after the death of Caesar, emblematic character of the saga Planet of the Apes . While humans have regressed into the wild, several clans of primates share a true haven of peace thanks to their former leader. However, some have completely forgotten him while others have completely distorted his teaching in order to set up an empire, led by a tyrannical leader. He does not hesitate to enslave other groups of primates in order to find human technology.
In this context, The New Kingdom is particularly interested in Noa, a young monkey forced to undertake a perilous journey that will push him to questioning what he really knows about the past and making choices that could define the future of apes and humans.
