Police investigating suspicious death of child in Bois- des-Filion

Investigators from the intermunicipal police service of Terrebonne/Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines/Bois- des-Filion and forensic identification technicians were on site Monday evening.

A police investigation was opened after the death of a child in suspicious circumstances, Monday, in Bois-des-Filion.

The intermunicipal police of Terrebonne, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines and Bois -des-Filion was called to a residence on 34th Avenue around 5:30 p.m. where it was reported that a young child had been seriously injured.

Once they arrived on scene, the first responders attempted resuscitation on the child, but he was pronounced dead on site.

Several people were encountered in the evening by the intermunicipal police of Terrebonne, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines and Bois-des-Filion, who are assisted by the Sûreté du Québec in their investigation.
