After two successful seasons and a spin-off which stands out as a very pleasant surprise, it is finally time to reunite with Lady Whistledown. This season 3 should fill fans of the Bridgerton siblings with joy, who have been impatiently awaiting its return for months. After the love story of Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke of Hastings, after that of Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma, on which member of the Bridgerton siblings is season 3 focused ? You are probably aware that The Bridgerton Chronicles is originally a literary saga written by Julia Quinn. Each volume focuses on a member of the Bridgerton siblings and, until now, the Netflix series more or less respected the continuity of the novels. Well, until now.

Indeed, season 3 of the series marks a slight change compared to the literary saga. Logically, the third season should have adapted volume 3… Which focuses on Benedict Bridgerton, the second brother of the siblings. Why did Netflix choose to skip Benedict for Colin ?

Simply because showrunner Jess Brownell felt the timing was perfect to highlight Colin and Penelope's love story. This is what he explained in an interview with Variety. But that's not all. In an interview for Entertainment Weekly, he also confided that he wanted to take advantage of Benedict, a character he finds very funny, and have a little fun with him before he got married.

The first four episodes of season 3 of The Bridgerton Chronicle are available from this Thursday, May 16, 2024. For the following episodes, it You will have to be patient. As with the last seasons of You or Stranger Things, Netflix has decided to divide season 3 of The Bridgerton Chronicle in order to make the pleasure last and offer a longer lifespan to this new batch of episodes.
