According to the explanations on The Verge site, MGIE or MLLM-Guided Image Editing was developed in collaboration with the University of California, Santa Barbara. At the moment, Apple does not yet offer a model similar to ChatGPT. MGIE is a technology that combines large language models with image editing. Indeed, this AI allows the user to upload an image, then request via a text prompt to apply modifications.

According to the examples shown in a publication on Arxiv, the user can, for example, upload a photo of pizza and ask MGIE to make it healthier. In this case, the AI can modify the image by adding vegetables in the topping. Real announcements still awaited
