In France, on the private market, between January and November, 54% of cars sold were electric or hybrid models, relegating sales of purely thermal cars to the background. Obviously, it is mainly diesel sales that are bowing out, but what about the “professional” market? Elements of response with the 10 cars most sold to businesses in 2023.
The Renault Clio is the “company car” of the year!
Last year, many companies set their sights on the Peugeot 208 to equip their employees. In 2023, the Renault group has taken things in hand, and not just a little, since the Clio sits at the top of the ranking of best sales to businesses, with more than 21,220 vehicles sold over the first 9 months of the year.

The podium is completed by the small Citroën C3, credited with just under 14,000 sales, and the Peugeot 208, with 12,412 sales to be precise. Obviously, no trace of diesel here, these are exclusively gasoline-powered vehicles.

As for the electric company car, it is Tesla that is doing well, with its Model Y SUV, which displays 7,553 sales. The SUV is ahead of the Peugeot 208 (again!) in the electric version, with 5,867 units sold. Note that Tesla is the only foreign manufacturer present in this Top 10.
Finally, within this same Top 10 cars most sold to companies, we find a single diesel fuel model, namely the Peugeot 308, a model particularly popular with companies, and in particular by “ big rollers“.
